Building Bridges, Empowering Minds

Meet Our Members

By joining ARUPS, you become part of a regional network committed to ethical practice, solidarity, and knowledge exchange. This membership is designed to strengthen psychological practice through institutional partnerships, capacity building, and coordinated responses to psychosocial challenges across Southeast Asia. Together, we grow as an inclusive and impactful community.

Leadership Contributions

Key early leaders of ARUPS included Dr Rahmat Ismail (HIMPSI), Dr Mahmood Nazar Mohamed (PSIMA), Dr Allan Bernardo (PAP), and Dr Soree Pokaeo (TPA). Dr Mahmood played a vital role until his passing in 2010, after which leadership from PSIMA continued under Dr Ariffin and Dr Goh. Their leadership played a pivotal role in shaping ARUPS’ trajectory.
